Just last week, I received the exciting news that the Brooklyn rapper was about to release a new project on Friday. I had high hopes for a full album, but he surprised us with a bundle of three songs. And you know what? Sometimes quality is more important than quantity. I often prefer such projects as long as the songs are top-notch.

This new project, called “The Light Pack,” is dedicated to the soul, mind, and body, which is evident in the song order. The opening track, “The Light,” reintroduces us to the musical genius of JOEY BADA$$. He delves into the contrast between light and darkness, sharing his experiences since his last solo release and questioning his own “inner light.” Despite the classic 808 beats and heavy bass, the track remains incredibly melodic, with a bright piano overlay that beautifully depicts the conflict between light and dark.

The only feature on this project is none other than Pusha-T. This collaboration between two lyrical powerhouses is a first and adds another layer of excitement to the mix.
