The Breaking — Escaping the Mold, Shattering Shells of the Past

What if the first step toward becoming yourself is breaking the version of you that already exists?

We are surrounded by structures designed to keep us still: expectations, identities, routines, aesthetics. We learn how to pose for them, how to fit inside them, how to make the cage look beautiful enough that we forget it is a cage at all. But beneath the polished surface, something is always moving. Continuously craving escape.

The Breaking begins inside that metaphorical cage. Here, the body becomes an image, and the image becomes a kind of confinement.

“Our story begins in a rigid, perfect world; a glass cage where everything is static, and life feels like an endless pose. Beneath this cold calm is an urgent need to escape. The turning point is represented by an egg: a symbol of the past that must be shattered. This is not a gentle hatching, but a visceral eruption. The moment the shell falls away to reveal our raw, true energy.

Once the shell is broken, the structure dissolves into a dream. We are no longer solid figures or prisoners of design; we become light, movement, and blurring shapes. The sharp red feathers from the beginning soften into ethereal shades, and the body transforms into a trail of color and florals. This editorial is about breaking the mold to stop being a fixed image and finally becoming a dream without edges.”
